My 1st week at

After the speedy on-boarding, we interns were thrown straight into the deep end. The best way to walk is after all by falling.

So, hence began my time in dealing with customers directly and indirectly. It was not long before we had a customer complaint regarding goods received. I had to ensure a quick and accurate response in dealing with our beloved customer. This was even trickier as it was a new customer, which makes it unpredictable. I tried calling but there was no answer. The next action was to send an email with a clear call-to-action. Once she responded, I raised the issue to my senior managers and got clear advice and direction on how to proceed. I apologised to her on the inconvenience caused whilst quickly resolving the matter.

From an angry, vociferous person to an understanding customer in a matter of minutes. She was delighted with the prompt response. Besides, she was buoyed with the ease of customer service we displayed by issuing a solution on the spot. Looking back, I cannot believe how fast one week has passed. It feels more like a month after all the adventures we have done individually and as a team.

In the end, what I love about the approach here is that “I am the only obstacle to myself”.
